Setting/Changing Nameservers
Posted by on 03 August 2016 12:41 PM

Sometimes users will need to change the nameservers their domain is delegated to either to point to their web host or change their DNS provider. Before attempting to change nameservers, you'll want to make sure that easyDNS is the registrar for the domain as nameservers changes can only happen within the current registrar.

Once this has been confirmed, you'll want to do the following:

1. Log into your easyDNS account
2. Click on the WHOIS link for said domain

3. Click on EDIT in the NAMESERVER section

4. Enter your nameservers in the spaces provided
5. Click NEXT

6. Confirm your changes

Please note that nameservers updates can take up to 24 hours to propagate out Internet wide.

WARNING! Removing the easyDNS nameservers from your domain will stop our services such as web forwarding and easyMail from working. Please be sure that your new DNS provider has a zone file set up correctly before making these changes.
