The iPhone allows for both POP and IMAP set ups. As space is limited on the phone, however, it is strongly recommended that the IMAP configuration be used rather than POP.

If you would like to set up your easyMail account on your iPhone, please do the following:

1. Go to the SETTINGS app on your iPhone

going to settings on your iphone

2. Choose MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS

If you receive an error message when sending or receiving mail, confirm that the account is active and easyMAIL enabled in your easyDNS account. Moreover, check and make sure you have entered your username and password correctly (all usernames should be in lower case) and try again. If you still encounter difficulty, contact our support team.

Common Issues With The iPhone

Once your easyMail account has been added successfully, you want to make sure your email folders are set to the server and NOT the iPhone itself. To verify this you need to go to the ADVANCED settings for the easyMail account under the SETTINGS app again. You'll notice under MAILBOX BEHAVIOURS what your folders are currently delegated to. Make sure all the folders are currently set to the folders under ON THE SERVER and not ON MY IPHONE.

Sometimes our users will notice that they are 'missing' certain easyMail folders within their iPhone. If this is the case, you will first need to make sure that these folders exist within your webmail (messages.easymail.ca). Once logged into your webmail account click on the SETTINGS link on the top right corner. Under the SETTINGS column, click on FOLDERS to verify what folders you currently have. The TEST folder has been added as an example.

Once verified, go back to your MAIL app on your iPhone and choose the easyMail account just created. You'll notice that this folder now appears on your folder's list.
